Welcome to WhoGrowsIt.  This is a brand new site that will be changing on a daily basis based on what you all want this site to become.  I was inspired by the avocado tree in my back yard when I just could not keep up with it's fruit production. I could not eat or give it away fast enough and I thought it was a terrible waste.  This site is for all who want to obtain food from local sources. I also invite anyone who hunts or fishes to participate as well.  The idea is if you have something that you want to share or sell you tell us all about it in the message forum.  Perhaps you have tomatoes and would like to trade with someone who is growing basil. Maybe you caught a large fish and would like to trade with someone who has some nice vegetables that would match well with it. Maybe you have a avocado tree like me and just want to give away the excess fruit so it does not go to waste.  If you own a farm please consider letting others come after you harvest to pick the produce that would otherwise be wasted.  There is no reason to leave fruit or vegetables on the ground, plant or tree just to rot.  I am going to try to keep this free to members as long as possible but if you enjoy it or think it is a great idea please feel free to donate to the cause.  So far all costs have been paid for by me but I hope to make the site self sustaining and I will continue to donate my time doing the programing and such as long as I can.  If you have any questions or ideas please feel free to contact me at mike@whogrowsit.com.  Please remember to follow all local laws and have fun.
